PRAYER FOR THE ELDERS AND THE WEAK

Loving God, I thank You for this good time of prayer. I praise and thank You umpteen times for having given me good health in answer to my prayer. Lord, let Your ears be open to my pleadings. Help me so that I may not be crushed in my weakness. O God of love let me have Your answer to the prayer I offer in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ. Fill me with the love of the cross of Calvary. Let my lips and mouth praise You only. When I think of my weakness, I am led to think and worry about the days of sufferings I have to undergo. I yearn for the wedding of my son/ daughter. Will I be able to see the marriage? Will I have the blessedness of seeing my children’s children? Have mercy on me, O Lord who said,” My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Today I am not able to do anything and I stumble. I am not able to get up from bed without help. I am in pain and affliction because of the weakness in my bones. Have mercy on me, O Lord who said, “...be healed of your affliction.” Let the words, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” be fulfilled in me. Sometimes, I think of my past life in youth and rue how I wasted my strength and as a consequence I suffer now. This causes heaviness of heart in me. I am distressed to see those who love me - my daughter, son, wife/ husband - being burdened. O Lord, it is written: “…Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”(Neh. 8:10). Have mercy on me and bless me with the joy of salvation and Your presence. Do it right today. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray, O good Father. Amen.
