O loving Lord, I thank You for this good time of prayer. You have made me enter this New Year because of the mercies You had on me. Grant me the grace to inherit new blessings this year, O Lord. I thank You for the peace You have given me in my family, in my work place, and in my boundary. I should not lose this peace because of any bad news or any untoward happening around me. Lord, I am not a saint. But You are the Prince of Peace and You have shown me favour in granting this peace. Let me not lose it. I am afraid of the things that happen around me that they might affect me and make me lose the peace that I enjoy. Lord, protect me and make sure that this peace remains in me. You have said, “My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places”. Help us to live so. Let the joy of salvation be multiplied in me. You are the only one to transform our sorrows into joy. You have done it in my life and comforted me. I thank You for that. You have borne my sorrows on the cross of Calvary. O Jesus, accept responsibility that I may not be disturbed by any failure, or lose or delay or obstacles. Help me to rejoice in You by annihilating all fears, and works of the devil. I praise You with the faith that You would bless me so with peace and joy. In the name of Jesus Christ, I make this prayer, O good Father. Amen
