It is God who arms me with strength,
and makes my way perfect”

                               Psalm 18:32

Dearly beloved in Christ,

I greet you in the sweet name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Once my wife was staying with my second daughter-in-law. At that time, I had plans to be with her during Christmas to celebrate it there. I had been to the US somewhat early in December to do ministry there. After doing the ministry there I was ready to fly to Phoenix from Chicago on 23rd. I had booked flight tickets and went to the airport. It was early morning and there was snowfall. So, it was difficult for flights to come down or take off. The flight was delayed by two hours. The airport was heavily crowded. Then came the announcement for our flight. I had great joy at my heart. I boarded the aircraft. In another one hour, there was heavy snowfall all over the aircraft.  Then they sprayed some red coloured liquid to remove the snow. We had to be within the aircraft for 9 long hours. Certain announcements made me feel that the flight might be cancelled. I was greatly troubled.

I was pleading with the Lord who never goes back on His word. The words that I would be with the family for Christmas comforted me. After long wait the plane moved to the runway. I was praising the Lord with peace in my heart. He who dwells in the midst of praises heard my prayer. The plane took off. I continued to praise the Lord for the five-hour journey to end happily. After an hour the plane reached a region where there was sunlight. By the grace of the Lord I could reach my family and dwell with them in the night. After reaching home, I wanted to know the situation in Chicago. I came to know that the airport was closed to traffic for a few more days. Then only I realized how the Lord had cleared my way.

Dear Brother/ Sister, in our life such struggles and hurdles come up in our way and put us to difficulties. At such times, let us look up to the rock of our trust, the Lord God, who will make crooked things straight and create a way for us. We have entered a new year. Let us not be worried about what might happen during the year – about our health or anything. Let us always keep the Lord before us and run the race set before us.

May the Lord bless us!
