“Delight yourself also in the Lord,
and He shall give you the desires of your heart.”

                                                                                                Psalm 37:4

Dearly beloved in Christ,

I greet you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!

My eldest son accepted Jesus Christ as his Saviour when he was studying 12th standard and committed to walk in His way. In the house we stayed, his room was in the first floor just above mine. One day in the early morning he prayed about avoiding the company of his old friends. He prayed for a cycle so that he could avoid them by coming home straight away without meeting any of them. He wanted thus to avoid them. In my prayer time that day I was waiting at the presence of God. Then the Spirit of the Lord instructed me to buy a cycle for him that very day. So, I collected the money I had at my house. I was working in the school where he studied. So, I asked him to meet me after the classes as I wanted to buy a cycle for him. He also came. I bought a new cycle for him. He said that he prayed for a cycle only that morning and he got it in the evening. He was delighted that the Lord heard and answered his prayer immediately.

Dear Brother/ Sister, the Lord God of love hears our prayers, big or small, and answers them. He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. When we commit to walk in His holy ways, He who loves us answers our requests. Let us commit to live holy as separated people abiding in His way, and then he will answer our prayers immediately. He is full of love. We cannot measure it or compare it with others. He will do everything for you to enable you to live holy by guarding you from sin. He will do greater things than what you desire. Do not be dismayed by the words of prophesies for this year. Jesus Christ loves you.

Solomon offered sacrifice to the Lord as he loved Him. That night the Lord appeared to him in a dream and asked him, “Ask! What shall I give you?” (1 Kings 3:5). In our lives also, that God of love would bless us. Do not be disturbed by long expected events that did not happen last year. It might be expectation of a job, a child, or marriage for children or admission in a reputed institution. Just love the Lord. He will fulfil your desires this year.

May the Lord bless us fulfilling our desires this year!
