Beloved in Christ,
I greet you in the sweet name of the Lord Jesus Christ!
Once we stayed with a Pastor to conduct the meetings in his church. The church was in a village. In front of the church there was a big ground. Around the church there was a good compound wall. There was also a big gate at the front. As the Presbyter had to go out often, they did not lock the gate. It was always open. There was road in front of the church and across the road there was an open place with thorny bushes and a few houses. As the gate was open, at nights some would come in and remain chatting there. I advised the Presbyter to lock the gate at night time as it appeared in mind that some police might come in to inquire him. He also closed the gate and locked it. After a few days, an incident happened. A person was killed and his body was left in front of the gate. As it was locked, it was not laid in the ground of the church. So, none came to inquire the Presbyter.
The Lord Jesus Christ gives us counsel so that we are not submitted into unwanted complicated situations. As we accept and obey them, we have His protection. In different ways the wonderful Counsellor advises us. We should understand and accept them. Then no evil will come near you or worry you.
